KYLE
GERSTNER - Kyle
has lived in Lawrence since 1986 with his wife Janet, and works
as a finish carpenter and remodeling contractor. He continues
to pursue his love of nature and photography, combining the
two at every opportunity. He says he is just like a kid when
it comes to seeing a creature for the first time. Whether it’s
a bird, bug or flower, all are fascinating. Kyle views the
world as full of marvels, if we just take the time out of our
busy lives to have a closer look.
MATT
NEEDHAM - Matt has been interested in the visual arts all of
his life. He became fascinated with photography twelve years ago,
and has been studying it passionately ever since. Matt is interested
in many different subjects including landscapes, street, botanicals,
music, night photography, and much more, but portraits are his
favorite. Children and family portraiture has been a primary subject
since he became a father. Immogene Cunningham (one of Matt's favorite
photographers) said "The thing that's fascinating about portraiture
is that nobody is alike." Not only is everyone unique, but
they are constantly growing and changing. With photography Matt
can record the changing details of life in a fleeting moment.
